5The NANTISTA project focuses on two major research themes.

• The first is related to radionuclide identifications, developments in this domain are intended to be used by Radiation Portal Monitors. The project aims at developping electronic modules that comprises acquisition device associated to signal processing. The latter can be used with different kind of detectors, experiments of the project are conducted with detectors such as NaI or scintillators.

• The second focuses to the neutron/gamma discrimination using plastic scintillators or liquid scintillators. Since these scintallators can detect both neutron and gamma rays, it is difficult to determine if the signal is related to a neutron source. However, neutron sources are related to prohibited material, making their detection important.
